14 techniques of manipulation and control that the daffodils use

The meaning of the life of daffodils is to always win – and, as a rule, due to others. For the sake of achieving the goal, many of them are ready for all. We list the main tactics and techniques with which they use.

Narcissus distort reality, misinforming, excessively simplifying, ridicuating and sowing doubts. Many of them are perfectly owned by classical techniques for manipulating consciousness. In order to resist this manipulation, it is important to think critically and in time to recognize the methods with which they consciously or unconsciously distort reality. Family Psychotherapist Dan Newhart transfers the 14 most common tactics of manipulation and control that use daffodils.

1. Appeal to emotions

Narcissus try to force others to succumb to emotions (fear, guilt), instead of reasoning logically. Appealing to emotions, they try to give false statements for the truth. Since they are generally inclined to arrange tantrums and scandals, it turns out to be very natural.

number of “likes” on social networks and other indicators of popularity is incredibly important. A large number of subscribers, friends or followers help them feel their own value. They use the power of group thinking and the pressure of the team in their interests, making it clear that anyone who goes against them risks being an outcast.

Example

“By the way, all your friends agree with me”.

3. Black and white thinking

These people represent the situation as if there are only two options for choosing, consider the world in the categories “yes” and “no”. Subtleties and halftones are not available to them. They act on the principle of “share and rule”.

Example

“You are either with me or against me”.

4. Unproven statements

Narcissus believe that they do not need to prove their point of view, on the contrary – this opponents will have to work hard to refute it. They also like to attribute to themselves other people’s achievements, but do not want to take responsibility.

Example

“I know for sure what’s right. This is so until the opposite has been proven “.

5. Flattery and false compliments

Such people adore any compliments and are sure that others love them in the same way, and therefore flatter them to convince them of their rightness.

Example

“I would still not be able to manipulate you – you are too smart for this”.

6. Distrust of the words of the interlocutor

Not understanding what the interlocutor says, daffodils often pretend that what has been said is simply absurd and it is not worth discussing it. Thus, they try to dismiss quite reasonable objections.

Example

“You really think that other husbands are better than me? You think that other wives get from husbands at least a small share of what I give you? You have no idea about the real world!”
